US Justice Department To Release Report Over 2016 US Election Probe

The U.S. Justice Department has now confirmed that their internal watchdog is going to release the long-awaited report that will spell out origins of investigations into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The report is slated for release by December 09 this year.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has communicated the intent via a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham.

News has been going back and forth over Russia’s involvement in influencing the outcome of the 2016 election results, pushing Trump up for presidency, by falsifying Hilary Clinton’s candidacy, via dubious social media posts and fictitious accounts.

To add weight to President Donald Trump’s noninvolvement, supporters are claiming that this report will raise questions about the legitimacy of FBI investigations into alleged links to Russia by Trump and some of his campaign advisers.

There could be some merit in these thoughts, but then, there is no easier way to unveil the wrongdoing and tampering of election results.

It is known that on the instructions of U.S. Attorney General William Barr, John Durham, the chief federal prosecutor in Connecticut, is conducting a review of whether U.S. spy and law enforcement agencies acted properly when they initiated and pursued investigations of possible ties between Trump and his campaign and Russia.

Any loophole in proceedings could just give Trump’s supporters fuel over the authenticity of the outcome of the investigations.

In two separate instances, individuals have already filed complaints against the way they were approached and interrogated in connection with the 2016 US presidential election proceedings and involvement of Russia.
