The United States Must Consider Labelling This Muslim Brotherhood Leader as a Terrorist

Recently, Interpol decided to remove a red notice from Yusuf Al Qaradawi. Al Qaradawi is a cleric who is based in Qatar but is a wanted figure in Egypt over violent protests that took place after the Muslim Brotherhood-backed government under Mohammad Morsi was removed from power. The red notice is a computerized flag that notifies police all over the world that an individual is being wanted for arrest by a member state of Interpol.
The removal of the red notice is certainly going to please Qatar which has been providing shelter to the cleric despite international pressure.
Al Qaradawi is probably known best in the Western nations for his shocking, vitriolic and extreme anti-Semitic remarks which he makes through Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera is the media outlet owned and run by the state of Qatar. He has even made fatwas which supports the use of suicide bombings by Hamas, a known terror group. The US has even taken notice of Al Qaradawi and his coalition over their role in providing financing to Hamas. That coalition is also known to have supported various affiliates of Al Qaeda.
As such, despite the step taken by Interpol, the United States must give serious thought to the matter and label this leader of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist.
