According to the Deputy Police Chief of Port Dickson, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Faisal Mohd Noor stated that the President of PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would provide his statement on the recent allegation of sodomizing an Indonesian student in Singapore. Mohd Faisal stated that they are yet to record the statement of Anwar as soon as he gets freed from the election campaign. Anwar’s officers have already been informed about the arrangements being made for recording the statement. He even added that he was informed by Anwar’s representative that Anwar would assist the police offices while providing his statement.
The statement of Anwar would be recorded ahead of the Port Dickson by-election polling date. Mohd Faisal was informed by Anwar’s representative that Anwar would give his statement before 13th October.
Anwar was summoned in order to provide his statement on the highly debated post that was uploaded by the President of Pemantau Malaysia Baharu, Datuk Lokman Noor Adam. The post stated that Anwar was facing investigation from authorities in Singapore for being embroiled in a sodomy case in that nation. Till date police have received statements from four individuals particularly, the PKR Communications Director Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil, an individual from the Singapore media agency, an individual from a local media agency, and Lokman himself.
Meanwhile, Mohd Faisal informed that a total of 60 political talk grants have been issued by the police during the campaign period.
