The spokesman for the Karama Chamber of Operations of the National Army Brigadier Khalid Mahjoub said that the battle of Tripoli can be won at any time, noting that “the brothers of Libya and the militias” are receiving increasing military support from Qatar and Turkey to confront the army in Tripoli.
“The support of Ankara and Doha strongly calls on the Brotherhood and militias in Libya to maintain a stronghold in Libya and influence in Tripoli,” Mahjoub told press.
Al-Mahjoub added that ships and planes from Turkey loaded with arms are reaching Libya to support the armed and extremist groups that the national army is fighting to eliminate.
Mahjoub said that the national army takes into account the safety of civilians in its operations, so the battlefield is chosen to fight terrorist groups to avoid casualties in the ranks of civilians, adding that the army does not use heavy weapons,
And concerning the Portuguese pilot who was arrested after dropping his aircraft in the axis of Al-Hira, Mahjoub confirmed that the pilot admitted that he is an illegal fighter working for the government of reconciliation, and expressed regret for that, pointing out that his fate will be determined by the laws and legislation of the National Army
