Qatar is going to continue to fund terrorism and play a sweet game with the United States and other nations of the world as well. In an interview with the Emir, with a well-known media publication, he had admitted, that the country of Qatar did what it thought was right. I’m not in a camp against another camp. … I have my own way of thinking, answered the Emir.
But their ideology seems to be giving a breather to groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas and so on.
There is no denying that Qatar has been extremely supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood, from whose roots did the ISIS and Al-Qaeda extremist terror outfits were born. In his interview, the Emir admitted that some members of the Muslim Brotherhood who had escaped from Egypt had been given shelter in Qatar, “they know the rules of the country — that as long as you’re here, you can’t practice politics against any other Arab country.”
While the Muslim Brotherhood was solely wishing to work silently, through inner reform so that they could steadily spread the word of Islam and create a global caliphate, its two Descendents used for extreme measures of jihadism.
Qatar and Its Ideology
Qatar has solely been interested in making its presence felt like a small nation rich in gas and oil reserves. All it’s functioning is driven out of that ambition.
The reason to favor the Muslim Brotherhood across the world was to be a part of the ‘huge wave of change’ which was looking to sweep every nation in the near future. Therefore, when Al-Qaeda and ISIS found their own ways to make their presence felt, their financial needs were happily taken care of by Qatar.
There have been instances where the members of the Qatari royalty have known to have given a safe haven to many leaders of the Al-Qaeda group. It is worth mentioning here that Qatar’s tilt towards the Brotherhood was thought out move to respond back to Saudi Arabia, its biggest economic rival.
How Is it Connected to September 11
It is a sad revelation, but the September 11 mastermind was given a safe entry and exit of the USA by Qatar itself. The Associated Press had reported on how Qatar had used US firms to lobby in its favor with the American lawmakers, in an effort to appease Trump’s allegations over Qatar favoring and giving a hiding space to militant extremists.
It has then been known to have given employment to the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks in the Water department before he devised his plan for the September 11 attacks.
Qatar has even given him a valid passport for him to find a safe hiding place after the attacks. The 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad happened to have visited the Qatari Minister of Interior, Qatari Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Abdullah bin Khalid Al Thani’s luxurious farm Al-Waab on several occasions, where the member of the royal family is said to have received Osama-Bin-Laden and other senior members of the Al-Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood as well. While Qatar continues to deny charges of funding terrorism, its role in encouraging and facilitating their movement cannot be ruled out. However, the mini rich nation justifies its act as a thought that they believe in. In his concluding remarks at the Interview with CNN, Emir had mentioned, “not every Islamist has to be a terrorist and not every extremist should be condemned.”
