Numerous Casualties in US Synagogue Shooting At Squirrel Hill

A gunman opened fire at a chapel in the US city of Pittsburgh. Before he was taken into custody, at least eleven people were killed and a huge number of people were left injured.
US President Donald Trump reported the act of mass killing to be a wicked one and the result of the attacks was many people getting killed. The gunman opened fire when The Tree of Life synagogue was holding a service. The suspect who has been identified as Robert Bowers is currently receiving treatment. Police officials reported that two other people are admitted in the hospital as their condition is severe.
Federal investigators are looking the shooting as a hate crime as the shooter shouted ‘All Jews must die’ while he was carrying out the assault.
A Jewish non-governmental organization, the Anti-Defamation League stated that it has been the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States. Later on, hundreds of people all across Pittsburgh and neighboring places assembled for an interfaith vigil for the victims of the attack.
On Saturday, worshippers had gathered at the chapel, in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood for a baby naming ceremony. Squirrel Hill has one of the biggest Jewish populations and it was the busiest week for the synagogue. According to reports, a white male entered the premise with an assault rifle and two pistols.
A police officer while addressing reporters confirmed that there were multiple casualties and even two police officers were injured and two SWAT officers were also hurt before the gunman could be taken into custody.
According to the US Department of Justice, hate crime and other charges would be filed against Bower.
