Iran could plunge US warships sent to the Gulf region using missiles and “secret weapons”, a senior Iranian military official quoted by the semi-official news agency, Mizan, as quoted on Saturday.
On Friday, the US announced that 1,500 troops would be sent to the Middle East and described it as an effort to support defenses against Iran because it blamed the Revolutionary Guards, which directly assumed responsibility for tanker raids this month.
General America, Morteza Qorbani, “America is sending two battleships to the region. If they make the slightest foolishness, they will send these ships to the bottom of the sea, send them with their crew and planes using two missiles or two new secret weapons. Mizan’s adviser to the military command of Iran.”
The US action was the most recent act, emphasizing that the Trump administration viewed Iran as a potential threat of attack, and an aircraft carrier followed the decisions of the Bombers and the addition of additional Patriot missiles as well as to accelerate the deployment of the strike group.
Western experts say they have often exaggerated their weapons capabilities, despite concerns about Iran’s missile program and especially long-range ballistic missiles
