The Qatari royal family is again in news, as allegations against their violation of human rights are coming in the open, literally as scum hitting the roof. Sheikh Khaled is the brother of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the one who mercilessly confined two American nationals and his former employee on one pretext or the other. He forced them into labour and did not pay overtime or offer them food and shelter.
The victims Matthew Pittard and Matthew Allende escaped by jumping the fence of his palace and have now slapped the Qatari royal family member with a lawsuit, alleging the latter indulged in week-long sexually compromising parties, gambling, irresponsible car racing and was forcing the two employees to kill another employee on gunpoint.
Sheikh Khalid has now been served with a lawsuit by Tampa attorney Rebecca Castaneda that orders him to appear in Florida court or accept the verdict given off by the presiding judge. The court in all probability will rule in favour of the American ex-employees of Sheikh Khaled.
Giving out an official statement, Castaneda has stated that the two employees are prepared to reveal under oath in court details of lurid accusations that Sheikh Khaled — a playboy race car driver who competes around the world through his Massachusetts company Al-Anabi Racing LLC — engaged in sex and drug parties involving homosexuality that was part of a blackmail scheme.
According to official statements, Sheikh Khaled will have time until Jan. 2, 2020 to formally respond to the lawsuit. After this, he will have to face a default Federal Court judgment that could severely affect his multiple companies and investments in the US and other countries where the US legal jurisdiction is binding.
It is worth noting that the Qatari Royal has continued to function in an old patriarchal fashion, luring foreign nationals with fat salary packages and then forcing them into ruthless and inhuman living conditions. Work ethics is non-existent. The recent revelation by a well known British new agency threw light on how the Qatari government had forced thousands of foreign workforces into unhygienic and pathetic long working hours. They were being used to ready facilities towards the FIFA World Cup.
Emir of Qatar is a part of the royal family and is the head of the state and the government.
