30 Insurgents Killed by France-Mali Troops in Recent Counter-Terrorism Operation

Recent reports state that in the counterterrorism operation near Mali’s border in association with Burkina Faso, the Malian-French troops exterminated nearly 30 insurgents while disassembling a jihadist camp. The operation that began in late March saw an epic battle on both fronts; the French militia reports that till now 24 French Defense Force members had fallen at the hand of jihadists. Apart from them, the other casualty included the death of French military doctor Captain Marc Laycuras. The doctor who died in April 2nd alerted the militia on the power of the insurgents and the French-Malian troops planned the latest counterattack to kill off these militants.
